I-485 last updated on 4/3 with no status change — EB3 to EB2 interfile question

My PD is December 2013. I have approved EB-3 and EB-2 I-140s from the same employer. My I-485 was filed in October under EB-3 because the EB-3 Dates for Filing chart was current at that time. Now EB-2 Final Action Date is current for me, but EB-3 is not.

I am already working with my attorney on an EB3 to EB2 interfile / transfer of underlying basis request, but they still have not filed it.

Also, my I-485 showed a silent update on April 3 with no visible status change.

My question is: once my attorney prepares the interfile request, can I also upload a scanned copy in my USCIS online account as unsolicited evidence while they send the physical packet separately? Has anyone done this, and did it help at all?

Would also appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar Dec 2013 PD case.
