Piano roll pitch problem

Hey, so i have an audio track (string sound from Gangstas Paradise) and i want to play around with it. I have just 1 note playing when i load the sample into the piano roll. The problem is when i go higher on the keyboard from B to C, the sample pitches in a weird way and i get the chipmunk sound when i go higher. can somebody help
