Midea U ability to be taken in and out of window
hi, i have hyperacusis and mcas and im trying to figure out how to handle the upcoming summer months at my place... i have tried with the hvac air because my landlord cooks a lot of spicy/pungent stuff and thered also a lot of fragrances and stuff in the circulating air, so i cant tolerale a lot of hvac air directly and have my register closed often. when the temp outside gets past 75ish it starts getting uncomfortably warm in my room which is ALSO a trigger. stuck between a rock and a hard place I was considering trying the Midea U which is the only window or portable AC I would think is quiet enough for my hyperacusis to tolerate (about 32db supposedly). however, i live by a road and have window inserts in the windows, which have a well maybe 8 inches or so deep. so it seems having one in the window would preclude the other. how feasible is taking the unit in and out of the unit regularly? i could run it when its too hot and then have the window insert in instead when its too noisy and/or the room is cooled off enough.
i know this is a long shot in terms of feasibility but im a little desperate. if someone has any alternative suggestions for the situation im all ears. thanks!
