help with a coflict avoidant friend

I am not even sure we can be friends at this point. He got upset with me but he doesn't want to talk about it...so I am not even sure what I did or said wrong. He seems to conlict avoidant esp when it comes to Me. He has even gone to a mutual person to get advice from her and talk to her about me. I feel I am a kind sweet person. He is good at handling conflict with his job, and overall a likeable social person...so I don't understand why he struggles or refuses to communicate when he is upet or I say/do something he doesn't like. I hope it has nothing to do with him having feelings for me because that's not a place I want to be...but in general I feel he is more open and easygoing with his other female friends and at a greater ease. He just seems to make a big deal of little things when it comes to me. I'm not sure what all I can or should do..
