Perimeter Protection on RLC823S2 and RLC823S1 PTZ Cameras

Hey Reolink Folks,

Has anyone with the AI version of RLC823S2 gotten any of the three "Perimeter Protection" functions to work well?

I was told to mark regions or lines using the iOS or Android app, i.e. don't use the desktop or web clients. This will prevent the marked regions and/or lines from moving with the camera. Guess what? This didn't work.

So, what's the catch here?

I know that the perimeter protection features do work when they don't move away with the camera. When the PTZ returns to the guard position, the marked regions and/or lines simply disappear for a while.

I also tested out the privacy masking feature. The privacy mask remains in place when the PTZ pans or tilts. As long as this is setup via the mobile app, it seems to work correctly but not for "Perimeter Protection" markups.

Have I missed any steps somewhere?

What would be great is being able to assign "Perimeter Protection" functions to a location preset like it is done with Dahua IVS, and other expensive competitors in this space.
