Family friend tried feeding my son a huge round peanut covered chocolate

I really just need to vent. today we had a family birthday party with about 50 people invited . I went with my husband and 16mo old baby. At some point this family friend asked if she could hold my baby and she was holding him. dancing with him. he was having fun! at some point I turned and she was giving him a jumbo peanut covered chocolate ( kinda like m&m but more round and the size of a grape ). I immediately stopped her and told her that's a chocking hazard. I was already shocked by the fact that she didn't ask permission ( probably second time in my life I see her so definitely not someone close to me ) , and second how big that thing was. She said ok and put it away. not even 5 mins in and she had cut the chocolate in tiny pieces and was trying to feed him that and also a whole peanut. At that point I told her again he could choke and grabbed my son immediately. She told me " don't be afraid , you have to let him explore, you don't need to be like that".

guys, I am furious and even cried in the car thinking about what could have happened. Thankfully I was checking on her the whole time but I mean, what if I wasn't? it takes a second ! that peanut covered chocolate was literally huge. I'm furious because of how disrespectful she was not asking permission and even the second time when I had already said no. I just feel like crying right now for some reason. I also feel really triggered by this because when I was little I chocked on that exact candy and almost died, I turned blue and they had to do compression etc to get it out.
