It’s never just one thing and every relationship is different, but the mom insisting the separation has nothing to do with the kids sounds false because earlier she WAS JUST SAYING maybe Myrka’s mom had the right idea and taking care of a kid that’s not yours has been very hard. Telling the kids otherwise is an excellent mom move though.

Personally I think it’s quite possible that financial strain played a big role. That gender reveal party was completely over the top for most people’s budgets. They seem like they’re well off enough to splurge on minor things without much thought but the party, the baby gear, the decorations, and everyday barbecuing events can add up.

The only reason I’m wondering that is because the dad seemed so happy to be able to take Myrka in in the beginning, and I don’t think Myrka was ungrateful or difficult based on what we saw. Whatever private issues he had with his wife just seem to have boiled over when his own baby was probably a surprise that stressed him out financially enough.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to write an essay but it was so baffling that they were separating while both being so family oriented. And of course other issues are at play, I’m just speculating

I’m still getting caught up on past seasons, but any thoughts on what led to the separation?
