Founder here! Trying to build a multivitamin that actually absorbs — need honest feedback (Basics Done Right)

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a high-bioavailability multivitamin, and I’d really value your honest feedback. (It took lot of hard work to establish the supply chain, your feedback will help as lot)

Request to MODS , Please dont remove the post. I ma getting feedback for mutual benefit.

Quick ask:

  • What do you like / dislike the formulation? (formulation details below)
  • Anything important missing?
  • Does this feel like a product you’d trust? (It will be 3rd party lab tested, available to public)
  • And what would you realistically pay for 60 capsules?

(Full formulation is shared further down in the post )

Why I’m Building This

Most multivitamins in India (Even in other developed countries too) look great on the label but use cheap, poorly absorbed forms just to tick boxes.

So in reality, you’re paying for ingredients your body barely uses.

I’m trying to build something different:

  • Forms that are actually absorbed
  • No unnecessary fillers
  • All dosages are equal/close to RDA/DV value.
  • Third-party lab tested for purity and accuracy

(Working on this under a project called Basics Done Right — the idea is simple: do the basics properly.)

Formulation

Vitamins (chosen for usability, not just label value)

  • Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene) – safer, converts as needed

  • Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) – most effective form

  • Vitamin E (Natural d-Alpha) – better than synthetic

  • Vitamin K2 (MK-7) – supports proper calcium usage

  • Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) – simple, proven

Bioactive B-Complex (where most brands cut corners)

  • B1 (Benfotiamine) → better absorption

  • B2 (Riboflavin-5-Phosphate) → already active

  • B3 (Niacinamide) → no flushing

  • B5 (Calcium Pantothenate) → stable

  • B6 (P5P) → active form

  • Biotin (D-Biotin) → high-quality standard

  • Folate (L-Methylfolate) → no conversion issues

  • B12 (Methylcobalamin) → better retention

Minerals (no cheap oxide forms)

  • Zinc Bisglycinate

  • Copper Bisglycinate

  • Selenium (Selenomethionine)

  • Chromium Picolinate

Functional Additions

  • Piperine (5 mg) → improves absorption

  • Lutein + Zeaxanthin → eye health

  • R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (100 mg) → antioxidant & metabolic support

The Core Idea

Not trying to build the “most loaded” supplement.

Trying to build one where:
👉 Every ingredient is there for a reason
👉 Forms are chosen for absorption, not cost
👉 Label looks simple, but execution is strong

Would really appreciate your thoughts — especially from people who actually read labels and care about formulation 🙌

FYI: I used chat gpt to structure my post.
