Using or not SAM

There are achievements I’d love to have, but I simply don’t have the time to earn them “legitimately.”

In Tomb Raider, I loved the base game: the campaign and offline achievements are well-balanced and genuinely enjoyable, even after playing it 3 times. But the multiplayer achievements add nothing and just require 20–30 hours of repetitive grinding. And honestly, they don’t even require real skill—most of the time it’s just farming kills or letting yourself get killed.

I don’t agree with using SAM for everything, because it completely defeats the purpose of achievements. But at the end of the day, this isn’t about competing on leaderboards—it’s personal. I respect both the people who complete all multiplayer achievements and those who use SAM for cases like this.

In the end, achievements should be about enjoying the game, not turning it into a chore. Because those extra grinding hours often just make a game you loved become something boring to remember.
