Meat/produce

So I’ve recently moved to meat/produce and one thing that irks me is we don’t always have a closer. I feel like every department should have a closer because why would you not schedule someone to close. I mean technically meat and produce are the same area but very few times do I see produce person or meet person going back and forth. I told them today meat is a disaster but yet they still wanted me to pick my last hour and I told the manager it’s al torn up but they didn’t care. Well if they don’t care then I guess I won’t care either. Also I know ogp is very high volume but I wouldn’t have switched if I knew that they are prone to hour cuts. I’ve went from 40 to 32, 32, 34 (which I’ll probably stay a full 8 hours to get my time) but still is this normal/corporate being greedy or what.
