Ascending My Pets

I’m on level 21 as a level 12 Healer with a bunch of stuff (all the goodies, including the eye).

And, I have 3 pets:

Archibald the arch lich: Level 37, HP:296, AC: -15, fast, invisible

Pitt the Elder the Pit Fiend: Level 19, HP: 152, AC: -7

Wheels (on the) Succubus (go round and round): Level 9, HP: 72, AC: -16, cancelled, fast

I’d love some tips and potential pitfalls for getting as many of them ascended as possible. They were all once kittens and small dogs, so they’re not really evil on the inside. Archibald was the kitten and Dungeon-Crawler-Carl style I’d love to get that one “all the way”.

They’ve been my friends on this lonely quest, and immortality without them would be sad.

We’ve done Fort Ludios so I’ve become adept at getting them through the portal, and I assume for the portals on the planes that if I can get them next to me then they’ll go through too?

I haven’t done my quest yet (obviously), but they seem happy to portal through there too.

What do you think would help in this sublime quest for “all dogs (and one cat) go to heaven”?

(Also, I suspect Archibald knows I have a blessed scroll of genocide for if he ever turns on me (as insurance only!) - as per any good spy novel/bad movie, do you think he’ll “get me, before I get him”?)
