At what point do I email someone?

I have yet to hear (WL, A, or deny) from 2 schools. I am a mid-October applicant. Should I email someone? I spent money on these applications under the impression that I would get a decision. Is that too much to ask? I am about to deposit and would rather have all my decisions before I do, but deadlines are coming up. Signed, a very frustrated applicant.
