Help with Yomitan outside of browser.

I've been using Yomitan for the past year for finding words I don't know in Japanese and it's been able to be in my browser but also when I copy a word even outside of my browser it worked and popped up on my whole desktop as Yomitan. Recently, the whole app/extension bugged out and I had to redownload it but I lost the ability to find new words outside of my browser; when I copy a new Japanese word it doesn't pop up a browser or anything. Pls help :/
