The Ghost in the Movement

I have a very woo woo question on watches for the spiritually-minded collectors out there.

I’m on the verge of buying my first $1,000+ watch to round out my collection. All of my watches are quartz (including the requisite F91W and a very decent Citizen Ecodrive that keeps great time, my daily driver).

I’m thinking it’s time to go automatic. I know that it will never be nearly as precise as my $20 Casio but there’s something more organic about automatic movements or maybe even mechanical.

My question is…have any of you ever had a “spiritual” connection to a watch? What kind? Movement? I’m really into the relativity of time and I wonder if not having the movement locking in to a quartz crystal might allow it to behave a little more intuitively with the universe around me (energies, etc.)

Anyways, sorry for the woo woo question but I figured this would be the right place to ask.
