How different is Re4R from OGRe4?

Hello I am an artist and I am planning on a piece inspired mostly by Re4, but I am thinking on mixing the desing of the characters a bit with the OG and the Remake, however I cannot play the remake because I don’t have a new gen console and I don’t wanna see any gameplay, so basically without any major spoilers how much of the events or what general area of events in the remake is different from the original?
