Bulky Travel Backpack

Hi, my first Disney cruise on the Adventure is coming up and I'm planning to just use a Travel Backpack (30L) for all my stuff.

It's a little bulky so I'm thinking if I should check it in when I arrive at the port on embarkation day. Is this advisable?
