Any hope I can recover $40 worth of return shipping?

The seller waited until the last second to reply, right before the return window closed. So I had to pay out of pocket to send back a broken item. Then they faked an unboxing video to pretend I never returned it, even though I recorded myself dropping off the package at the delivery office and sent that video to Ali and the seller. I contacted Ali support and gave them every picture they asked for, but they said it wasn't enough.
So am I getting scammed by the platform itself too?...
