Has Veleno earned a spot on the roster?

When Tex and Dach get healthy I am scratching BGalley and probably Bolduc before Veleno. All 3 are offensive black holes but at least Veleno brings physicality, can play C, PK, and face off.

I think he has played his way onto the team with his last stretch of games. Yes we all know he has no offense and its expected, but if you take that out he plays the game as a 4th liner should. He knows his role and he goes out there and executes. I just don't see a world where you would scratch Veleno over Galagher at this time outside of sentimentality.

He is an easy target gets a lot of hate because he has no scoring touch. But if V had hands he would be on a 4-5 million multi year contract not making 900K. He has been a very solid 4th liner for the team I think going back months. To me his play has earned him a spot. They brought it up on the internmission and Goyens basically said Bolduc and Galley should be out of the line up before Veleno and I agree.
