Is it okay for me to use “僕”?

I wasn’t quite sure to put this in the “language” or “lifestyle” flair, but I’m a tomboy, and I prefer to use 僕 more than the other pronouns.

I know they aren’t really necessary depending on the context (if it’s clear), but I just wanted to ask natives if me saying it is a little silly or makes me sound childish, since I’ve been getting mislead a lot when it came to this particular question.

Some people said that I would sound unnatural because it’s a pronoun used for boys, some said that using Boku is fine if you want to sound like a child, and some said that using Boku is fine. So I’m just wanting clarification.
