Why do people assume the negative if you answer with details beyond oh everything is great, i love it?

Removed: Rant

I said to someone recently that where I live now is very different from where I formerly lived, which is a neutral statement. She said "oh!.... well, you could always move back!" but that wasn't what I meant at all! That got me thinking, maybe I should just respond to people's questions with "oh yeah it's great, I love it" and quit trying to provide meaningful details. No one gets it anyway. Am I the only person this happens to?
