Was rewatching The Boys to prepare for the final season starting soon and then remembered this show is also being developed and started thinking about it and especislly the new hero characters... Bombsight, Private Angel and Torpedo.

i think it would be kind of interesting to see these characters be genuinely good people and heroes, I know given the universe it's unlikely, but I think it could show Soldier Boy's character developing from good and well meaning to how he acted in the flashbacks weve seen of him being a cocky, abusive dick.

Have these characters, this first generation actually try to be heroes, they're not perfect, they have their own issues and biases especially given the time but they're not a bunch of rapist and murderers and genuinely awful like the heroes of the modern day are.

Soldier Boy and them are the first superhero team, early version of Payback! or another team altogether and when the other characters eventually die or are murdered, it exaserbates Soldier Boys own issues which they helped to keep in check by actually being his freinds.

Alone, Soldier Boy is easily manipulated by Stomrfront/Liberty and the more evil/corrupt members of Vought who push him into his vices and make him a worse person, all in the bid fro control or to cover up their kwn crimes.

Hopes for thr New Characters?
