Does social media help or hurt your writing?

Lately I’ve been conflicted about social media and writing.

On one hand, it forces me to write constantly and get quick feedback. On the other, I feel like it trains me to write for attention, short, punchy, safe, instead of depth or honesty. Well, sometimes it even makes my long-form writing feel harder.

Would love to hear how other writers think about this.
