I need a slide in! Let's hear your opinions!!!

I am preparing to buy a truck camper. The main use will be for staying at race tracks over a weekend. I am an amateur race car driver. I have a Ram 2500, gas engine, 6'6" bed, that I use to tow a 24' enclosed trailer. With car and supplies, the trailer comes to about 6-7,000 pounds. I would like to buy a truck camper, so I can stay at the track, instead of having to travel to and from a hotel. (Race tracks tend to be a bit outside the city limits, so it's typical to have to drive 30 minutes or so to get a room).

As the truck is already being used as a tow vehicle, the camper will need to be small and light. I'm looking at models with no bathroom, cassette toilet or porta-potty, and no slide outs. I really like the Cirrus 620, but my wife thinks it's too expensive.

I have rented RV's in the past, so I'm not a *total* newbie, but, I could certainly use advice from people who have more experience. Hence, this request.

So, if you have any opinions on the subject that you would like to share, I would love to hear them! The usual stuff: what to look for, what to avoid, etc. Thanks in advance.
