Future Academy Questions

I'm looking to apply for academy in the next few weeks, and I had some questions in regards to things I should know before packing my life into my car and heading to Oklahoma.

- How fast is the turnaround rate after taking the ATSA and getting a letter from the FAA? To follow that, how fast is the turnaround date from the day you receive a letter to the start date you are offered?

- How strict is the academy on attire and appearance? I'm hearing business casual and no facial piercings from sources online, but is it actually as hardcore as it sounds?

- Tips on the ATSA (in terms of studying) and anything past graduates wish they knew before going in? The website is pretty daunting on things to be aware of before going, so any advice would help.
