I finally came out and my parents just kind of laughed it off

I’ve been Catholic all my life. I go to mass and everything, I’ve posted here before and was told that I’m not a lukewarm Catholic and am doing pretty well. But during reflections I discovered I have a huge crush on my friend. Not in a sexual way. But in a I love them kind of way. I would date/marry/live with another guy. Asexually. But I’d still do it. And would be completely open to it. I told this to my parents and they just were oh you’re so funny haha. And didn’t take it seriously. I don’t understand. As far as I can understand there’s nothing wrong with the way I feel, and I’m not sure what’s wrong with acting on it. I’d live as roommates with someone? Why did they just shut me down? And say that it was “wrong to do that”
