What would the perspective be on disease-specific abortions?

Question

Iceland effectively eradicated down syndrome through genetic screening and abortions for babies who had developed down syndrome. I was wondering what a Sikh point of view would have to say about this. It's important to accept Waheguru Ji's Hukam. This treatment method would also end the presence of a lifelong disease and eradicate it from the population. From my understanding of Sikhi and general medical science, life does begin at conception, so it would be ending a life.
