Sydney metro replacements buses and staff

Discussion

Hi all, does anyone else share my frustrations around the metro and the staff that they hire during the replacements, you know those ones that stand out and where the blue and yellow and they are there to provide info etc. This has really started to bother me as we have been having the Easter long weekend nearly every metro station has a minimum of 2 to 3 workers. I’d assume for each side of the bus routes. Things I’ve noticed.

They are always hanging out in groups of minimum two and nearly always neglecting one side

I’ve also noticed countless passengers standing around lost and these lazy staff continue to sit while elderly passengers standing around lost and confused.

They are constantly on there phones or eating food at there little fold up chair spots

The other night I waited 25 mins for a replacement and a fella had been waiting prior to me getting there prob about 30 or so mins waiting in the pouring rain- as the staff where doing there usual business of chatting amongst them selves / smoking cigarettes on the bus stop platform I had to run to them in the rain to say what the hell is going on why has no bus come. They mentioned 3 buses have been scheduled and came and I said what do you think I’m stupid I just stood here and watched 3 buses come. She then proceed to say she marked them off. How can they mark buses as completed when there was not one bus there let alone 3. I think there doing something dodgy between the drivers and the drivers are getting longer breaks etc.

I don’t agree with this at all especially how much they would be getting for public holiday rates what a joke.

Has anyone else noticed this and what’s the best avenue to bring this to attention
