Ai - is - inevitable

There, I said it... I said something that I know is gonna piss off a lot of people, and this is coming from someone who used to comment "ai slop" all the time.

Yes, I agree that Ai has been used in wrong and dangerous ways that have ruined lives. People have taken advantage of it in ways that have gone too far.

It's understandable why people would be hating on it and I don't invalidate those feelings, I used to be exactly the same and in a lot of ways I still am.

However, trying to ban Ai and trying to get people to stop using it is a complete waste of time... it's part of every day life now, you don't even know you're using it a lot of the time.

It's like telling people that electricity is bad and you should stop using it... people will read your message, but are they really gonna stop? I mean you can stop using electricity yourself if you really want to, but you can't expect the rest of humanity to do so at the same time... I'm sorry but you can't.

The only mind you can change is your own, commenting "Ai slop" on any Ai related posts and hating on those who do use Ai isn't gonna stop people from using it. The only thing you're accomplishing by behaving that way is just boosting your ego... And I'm sorry, but your behaviour is half the reason why people don't request real art from us artists anymore. You think you're helping us but you're only making things worse.

We can only hope that over time, Ai will develop to be used in ways that are more efficient, safe and less threatening. And in return, Ai itself will learn to be more mindful and safe for humanity to use...

But the sad truth is you can't stop the inevitable...

You can only prepare for it.
