Product Switch: More Rewards AMEX ➡️ Flagship VISA

To preface:

• I have a 730-740 credit score with NFCU but a 780-800 score in general

• I’ve had More Rewards since ‘23 with a $21.3k limit (13.15% interest)

• Upcoming college graduate w/ a full-time lined up that may require traveling

I’m looking into product switching as I travel (i.e gas, hotel, flights), eat & shop a lot. I’ve run into issues with my AMEX not being accepted outside the USA. Having the Flagship Visa would be beneficial in this context.

However, I have 20k in unredeemed points, will these transfer? Is it worth it to product switch?

P.S. yes I’ve also tried to get the Venture (C1) - rejected every time.. but, I enjoy banking with NFCU!
