When ‘You’re Beautiful’ Comes With an Insult

So… I had an amazing weekend overall. Amen! 🙏 I love what I do. I saw two younger clients, both in their late twenties, and honestly—they were incredible. So respectful, so appreciative and fun… it really surprised me how much I enjoy that age group. There’s just a different energy there.

But I have to share something that really rubbed me the wrong way—and I feel like you guys will understand. I met with an older “gentleman,” clearly very wealthy for a quick cup of coffee. He wanted to verify I was real. At first, everything seemed to be going great. The conversation was smooth, the vibe felt fine… until I asked what he was looking for moving forward—if this was something ongoing or just a one-time thing. He looks me dead in the face and says, “Normally prefer them much younger… but you’re beautiful.”

I was disgusted. He loved at me like he had to just accept this old depreciated broken down used car. I felt objectified and he kept going, complimenting me how well I aged, but in a way that basically made it clear he still saw me as “old” compared to what he prefers. He trashed talked women in general but especially ones "that can't get knocked up," It just didn’t sit right with me at all. The whole thing felt… off. Like there are men out there actively seeking much younger women, and saying it so casually.

I texted him afterward and told him a firm no.

Of course, he tried to throw more money at it—but I just couldn’t do it.

Call me crazy, but I’m not THAT desperate.
