I thought I've never had vivid dreams before but my mind was tricking me
ever since I was born I don't remember having a vivid dream and I actually thought I've never had it before. I recently discovered that it's not the case, my mind has been tricking me.
my dreams normally look weird, they feel like ai generated images/videos made by the worst LLM. the dreams feel cartoon-ish and the colors look slightly grayscale.
it wasn't until recently; I was watching a YouTube video about building cabins and I was very much inspired to build one myself. it was late around 4 am when I watched the video and I was about to go to bed. I was so inspired by the video all I could think about was building the cabin. so I went to sleep and within few minutes I was dreaming and in the dream I was standing in front of a beautiful cabin with a unique design. the cabin looked Soo real and it was vivid and the colors were popping. The experience was fascinating, I thought it was happening in real life and I didn't know that it was a dream.
I eventually realized I was dreaming; I think my brain realized that what was happening was too good to be true. when I realized I was dreaming I didn't immediately wake up but I was like "oh shit! this is a lucid dream", soon as I noticed that I was lucid dreaming the dream started changing from 4k vivid dream to an ai generated video.
also I noticed that my brain tried to stop me from remembering the lucid dream, and it only wanted me to remember the cartoon-ish dream part. I forced myself to remember the vivid dream and I woke up from excitement.
now I know that I do get vivid dreams but my brain stops me from remembering them
