this series is BRUTAL

im 24 now, read the first 6 books when i was a kid and wanted to revisit them. oh my god!!! i just finished the first Quests book, and lisa mcmann will not let these characters have half a second of peace 😭

ive been pleasantly surprised with how well these books hold up. i didn't think they would move me so deeply, but they have!! ive fallen in love with all of the characters, and thoroughly enjoyed every single twist and turn the plot has given me lol. unfortunately (actually, probably fortunately. id be a wreck if i wasnt prepared for this.) i got spoiled for Dragon Bones and know a pretty severe plot point, but with the way Dragon Captives ended i think he deserves some rest.

i just really cant believe these books arent more popular. i think the redemption arc we get in the first series is on the same level as Zuko from Avatar. they really deserve more appreciation.
