acting at cal

i’m an incoming freshman thinking about committing to uc berkeley! i’m planning on majoring in theater and performance studies or music with a double major or minor in something unrelated to arts.

if by the time i graduate i decide i want to pursue acting professionally, could cal equip me with the experience id need to succeed at that? i’m worried about performance opportunities in terms of both theater and film/tv and the caliber of the acting classes, the potential lack of learning hands-on.
