Why is it frowned upon for short women to express anything about our height?
It's just genuinely frustrating to constantly deal with hate from both my female peers and men/boys for something I cannot control. It's sickening really. Both parties act as if short women are breaking the Geneva Conventions just for either embracing our height. I'm tired of getting called a "pick me" for talking about me wanting to be taller and I'm tired of being seen as a fetish for men to gawk at instead of being understood, it makes me sick. How come when I see some tall women on social media mask their appreciation of their height as hatred of short women that is usually thinly veiled misogyny (which includes them being the main ones wanting male attention, claiming that "short women are stealing all the tall men") that later turns into fatphobia and other nazism pipelines over being superior for a genetic trait like mogging, they get praise for being like models? It just doesn't make sense.
Obviously there are short women who fetishize their height for weird people but that's not everybody.
I want there to be a space where I could speak out about facing vitrol and harassment from a group of people that set the system up we have right now to pit women of different traits against each other for sexual/romantic pleasures and other group that share the same gender to stop having superiority complexes over things we as a collective cannot control. Rant over.
