He was happy with that spaghetti, and that’s what hurt me the most.
Today is my father’s birthday. He is a construction worker, and I have two siblings—I am the eldest. It’s just the three of us in life. Today, we stayed at home and didn’t have any celebration.
Suddenly, his employer called and said they had something to give him. My father got excited, wondering what it was. When we arrived there, they gave him spaghetti in a Tupperware container. He was so happy about it.
But when we got home, we found out that the spaghetti had already spoiled. I felt really sad and upset because it seemed like they looked down on my father.
My father only finished elementary school, but I’m still very thankful to him because he helped me graduate from junior high school. That’s why I promise him that I will finish my studies, and on his next birthday, he will never experience something like this again. I will give him a grand birthday celebration—something he has never experienced in his whole life.
I’m just letting out my feelings here.
