iPhone 13 loops update verifying and isn’t recognized by pc iTunes

Like the title implies, the phone will loop on the verifying update screen for hours on end, I have already force restarted several times. I attempted to update through iTunes on my desktop, and that is where it starts to get strange. My iPhone is recognized by older versions of iTunes, which try to install the update, but don’t allow me to because they are not the current version. When I upgrade to the most recent version, iTunes no longer recognizes my phone. I’m going a little crazy here. RAHHHH PLEASE HELP ME
