How is the Semi industry faring in the Portland Metro?

I moved away from Beaverton a few years ago to pursue a position in another state, but I've been missing Oregon lately. I'd like to move back but have heard it's been tough due to all the Intel layoffs last year.

How are things looking nowadays? Starting to turn around or still looking bleak? Trying to weigh my options since my passion is in semiconductors.
