[27M] IRA and Traditional ETF Allocation
Hello, 27M looking for advice on my planned Roth IRA and Tradional Allocation. (10+ year horizon).
Picked up shares of VOO this week and planning to allocate the rest in my IRA.
IRA:
- VOO - 70%
- VXUS - 15%
- AVDV/AVUV - 10%
- QQQM - 5%
For my Traditional I've allocated ~10k to a portfolio I've had for a while that consists of individual shares but wanting to add ETFs to this one. I've picked up 50% VOO so far this week but planning to add more soon.
Tradional:
- VOO - 60%
- VXUS - 20%
- AVDV/AVUV - 10%
- QQQM - 10%
From what I've researched this has some good exposure and minimal overlap. VXUS for international and AVDV/AVUV for small-cap exposure. I've held QQQM in another portfolio and I've been happy with it. I plan to frontload this allocation but will continue to purchase shares monthly. I've been recommended Avantis so wanting to try it out. AVGV was another I considered but seem to have the basis covered with VOO/VXUS/AVDV
With that said I do want a little more exposure to different sectors instead of purchasing individual securities. Would IYM, VDE, SMH, VIS, or VPU be good to add later on once the current situation dies down? I've held some material and energy stock individually but want more of a hands-off approach and some of the sector ETFs have held up the last few weeks. I wouldn't use them for my current planned allocation but would use another ~3k to allocate for them. Is adding on too many sector ETFs bad for my portfolio considering my current plan? Appreciate the help.
