how to stay focused while writing

I've been out of writing for a little bit and want to get back into it, although I'm having trouble trying to stay focused and write in my main story, I'm unsure if its just unsure what to do or poor motivation since at the beginning of the story. Any help would be great I'm just having trouble on what to think of which makes me unfocused on the story
