Adults are not supposed to be sexual around their kids.

Its common for kids to overhear something once or maybe twice . It is NOT okay for adults to be sexual around their kids. Or lock themselves in the room and leave you to fend for yourself. Or make you wait with strangers in the other room.

I know you're scared. I know your eyes are hot and your muscles ache from being frozen in fear. I know it sounds scary and it feels like the sounds will never end. I know you're worried about mom being hurt.

Its okay to be angry at her. You should be.

You are allowed to feel grossed out by her the next day with no shame. Its even okay to feel like you hate her.

You didnt deserve to be left there.

You didnt deserve to be forgotten.

You dont deserve any of this.
