Why does it seem in terms of percentage like almost as many rich people get hooked on drugs as poor people do?

I mean, I’m sure most of us have heard/read stories of Fortune 500 company CEOs/executives and the New York stockbroker the movie Wolf of Wall Street is based on hooked on some pretty bad stuff and going crazy.

What role does socioeconomic status play in drug addiction?
