Hostess quit today!

I work at a small-time bar and restaurant, usually as a bartender. Last night, I thought i lost my phone (turns out I didn't, it was just between the pillows at home) I took myself on a little "Easter egg hunt" looking for it, and one of the places I looked was at work. When I got to work, I noticed that it was pretty busy, at least in the dining room. The bar didn't look terribly overrun, but it was still decently busy. While I'm there looking for my phone, L looks me dead in the eyes, and asks if I wanna work today. Given the fact that I'm kind of in the middle of something, AND that I'm gonna be bartending later in the afternoon, I declined. Apparently what had happened is that another hostess had been scheduled to come in at 11:30, and was a no-call-no-show. Given the fact that it was pretty busy, L was in a tizzy. Since my phone wasn't at work, I left.

About an hour after I left, L decided to clock out, pour herself a big-ass drink, and chill out at the bar because it was too stressful. Afterwards, she sent her notice to my manager that her last day would be Friday. My manager made some arrangements, and then pretty much let her know that she doesn't need to bother coming back. Honestly, it's really a relief, because L.... well. She's kinda has a superiority thing, refuses to learn to use the POS system, and gets territorial and catty. She's also a massive Trump supporter, and quite frankly, a bit racist. Needless to say, I'm not sorry to see her go. Way to go out with a bang, I guess.
