The chess game in COTE pmo

I was rewatching the anime to get my memory working before watching the 4th season, but as a NM in chess(2300 elo), I can't help but notice that the game between sakayangi and koji is soo bad. Its like a average sub 2000 game, couldn't they choose a legendary game instead or at the very least one between two grandmasters?
