I (29F) hooked up with my (44M) co-worker

I can’t tell anyone at work and don’t feel comfortable telling most of my friends, but I needed to put this somewhere.

It happened on a work trip. There has always been weird sexual tension, or at least I’ve always felt oddly attracted to this co-worker. I kind of assumed it was proximity attraction since we work near each other in the office. Anyways, it happened after a few drinks. Most of the team who were on this work trip had already flew out, so there was maybe 5 of us left flying out the following day.

I kind of thought the evening would end after a few kisses at the bar, but I went up to his hotel room instead of putting a firm boundary in place of stopping it right there. I was honestly very curious in seeing how it would unfold, especially since it’s been years of this sexual tension, and I had poor judgment due to alcohol.

My thoughts were okay we had a one night stand after drinking, whatever. But he sent me a flirty text the following day, so now I’m a little nervous on how this is going to be when we get back into the office and am hoping he acts normal. We didn’t have a condom, so it was all oral sex… which makes it feel less serious but also kind of feels like there’s unfinished business at the same time?

Luckily I’m hybrid so it’s only three days a week. It’s just a really big secret for me to keep. We aren’t in the same department and work together very minimally. I’d say we have maybe 2 virtual meetings together a quarter and our office chats are super brief usually, so it shouldn’t be awkward but still.
