Yesterday I asked if I should publish my horror story website. You said yes. I built it. It was not easy.

My PC hard drive corrupted mid‑upload. My SSD has been dead for months. The only reason this worked: I had pushed everything to GitHub earlier. I finished the deployment on my phone. One small screen. Two thumbs. A lot of swearing.

The site is live. No paywall. No ads. Just my stories. The Notebook series. New shorts. Everything in one place.

While you click that, here is a story I wrote on my phone last night. It is about what happened.

# Deploy

My hard drive made a clicking sound. Then nothing. The screen went black. I was three hours into building the website.

I restarted the computer. The hard drive did not spin. I checked the BIOS. No drive detected. I put my head on the desk. I stayed there for five minutes.

Then I remembered GitHub. I had pushed the site files two days ago. A habit. I did not think I would need it.

I picked up my phone. I opened the GitHub app. I connected to Vercel. I tapped deploy. The progress bar moved slowly. My phone screen dimmed. I kept tapping it to stay awake.

The build failed the first time. A missing file. I edited the code on my phone. I typed with two thumbs. I pushed the fix. I deployed again.

The progress bar moved. I watched it for ten minutes. Then it turned green. The site was live.

I opened the link. The homepage loaded. My stories. My name. My work.

I sat on the floor. My computer was dead. My phone battery was at 12%. But the site was up.

I wrote this story on the same phone. I am posting it now. The site is not perfect. Some pages are slow. I will fix them. But it is mine. And I built it from a broken machine.

If you have ever tried to make something while everything around you breaks, you know the feeling.

Now go read the stories. Link is above.

Thank you for saying yes.

Published the website. My hard drive died. My SSD was already dead. I did it from my phone. Read the story.
