Entry Level Mortgage Broking Jobs
I am actively in the process of career changing to Mortgage Broking.
I'm in my 30's, spend the last decade or so working in CRM for decent sized marketing companies, looking after customer lifecycle journeys primarily. However, I've sort of just got to the point where I don't get any enjoyment out of it, can't really progress much further within the companies, and overall, would just rather do something for myself that
a) Helps people (get next to no positive feedback loops in current role, just tick the box and move onto the next project)
b) Gives me the potential to earn outsized returns based on how hard I'm willing to work, how efficient I can be and how well I can generate leads.
However, I've noticed that a lot of brokers send the loan processes/credit analyst jobs off shore. I've been listening to the 'Beyond the numbers' podcast by Christian Stevens from Flint Group, and nearly every guest talks about building their teams up in Nepal or the Phillipines. Makes sense from a business perspective, but as someone trying to get started it's a bit of a red flag.
Does anyone have any advice or insight into the best places to get a processing/analyst or assistant role. My strong preference is to work under someone successful for a period of time, do my 'apprenticeship' and then go out on my own either in their brokerage, in someone elses, or as a complete solo operation.
For reference, I'm about 90 mins from the nearest CBD.
Thanks
