After 25+ years as a loyal Toyota Customer, I am DONE. What other car brands should I consider?

I’ve been a loyal Toyota customer for over 25 years, and my recent experience with Toyota, their dealerships and customer service have forced me to forever divorce the brand.

In short, the automatic 8 speed transmissions in the V6 engine engines have been a problem for almost 10 years. There are at least four class action lawsuits against the brand. I’ll spare you the detail, but I had a legitimate warranty claim with my the transmission on my Highlander that Toyota will not honor.

Even worse, they wasted my time and gave me the runaround for almost a month before denying the claim, further creating expense and uncertainty. And to this day, they have not referenced any language in the warranty contract that supports their claim.

Based on this experience, I will never buy another Toyota, nor will I recommend it to others. The problem is, having been such a loyal Toyota customer, I haven’t even looked at other vehicles.

Anyone in a similar situation? What other brands should I consider now that we’re divorced??
