What records are available to the public in terms of surveillance?

I READ THE RULES

We live in one of the most surveilled cities in America.

On March 31st between 12:45AM and 04:45AM a motorcycle I had just purchased not 48 hours before was stolen off the street at 5240 N Sheridan Road. It was a Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorcycle. Black with attached hard saddlebags and a non-stock exhaust. It was a beautiful bike that I spent a considerable amount of time saving up to purchase.

I am hell-bent on trying to find it knowing damn well the Police likely won't be of much assistance.

So, I am curious if it is possible to request the video footage from the thousands of cameras that record every street of our fine city. I know there are several around Sheridan and foster. One of them has to point north. Or is it possible to get the license plate reader information? I'll happily comb through three hours of every car that possibly went by where it was parked to figure out where this bike went. It wasn't driven away. It wasn't wheeled away. It has to be loaded into a truck or van.

I've called all the auto pounds and none of them have it either.

If any of you have suggestions on how to find camera footage in that general area, I would greatly appreciate it.
