Died to Ophion

I am about 12 hours into the game (first time) and haven’t had any real trouble except when I got to Ophion. I was using the hollowseeker w/ beam but now I’m wishing I was either using Electropylon or dreadbound. I also skipped the snow biome and so I didn’t have much integrity and no heals. Any tips?
