"Hey dude, nice game last night!" I say to Marcus as he saunters into the kitchen in his boxers, his ripped muscles glistening in the morning sun. He takes a swig of my organic freshly squeezed orange juice from the fridge then grins at me.

"Thanks dude...hope I didn't keep you up with my post game activities last night" he smirks.

My mind is transported back to 3 am where I heard the - all too familiar - scream of ecstasy of his latest conquest from down the hallway.

"Oh man, you don't have to apologize for that!" I say, giving him a fist bump.

"thanks man" he says, pulling on his gym shorts and a tee.

"Well, can I ask a favor of you? She's still asleep back there and I gotta go to training now. Would you mind showing her out when she gets up? I mean, if you could make her breakfast and a coffee too that would be appreciated".

I laugh "all right dude, no problem" I think to myself. If I'm honest I'm somewhat intrigued to see who his latest conquest is. He normally had a habit of attracting the hottest women.

"Thanks man" he heads out the door and I'm left in silence as I start the coffee brewing.

Shortly afterwards I hear the sound of his bedroom door opening. Walking out into the kitchen, wearing nothing but his basketball shirt that just barely covers her ass our faces recognize each other instantly. My face reddens.

"Lexi!" I say, somewhat awkwardly. Both our faces redden. Lexi of course was my lab partner in class. And I'd had a crush on her for the whole semester.

"Oh, Dave!" she replies.."what are you doing here?" she replies, somewhat awkwardly

"I live here! Me and Marcus share the apartment. You want a coffee?" I offer her as she nods slowly.

"So like...you were here last night?" she asks slowly

"Yeah" I reply, the tension building as the unsaid words fill the room.

"Oh...uh...like...sorry" she says softly...the tacit acknowledgement of her awareness of the crush I had on her palpable...

"It's ok...I mean, it's Marcus" I say grinning "realistically, no one seems able to resist him" I smile...

"So like, you don't hate me?" She asks.

"Of course not!" i say reassuringly.

She smiles happily. Then a naughty grin comes across her face. "were you...listening?"

I gulp as my face reddens...
